The wine was decanted 1 hour before the tasting, because of the inconvenient metallic scent in the beginning. In the glasses it showed a pretty ripe, rusty-red colour but absolutely clear with a fine/dusty sediment. The nose likewise very, very ripe but not unpleasant. Flavours of some lovage, malt and later also earthy-leathery aromas. The wine got smoother in time and showed finally also some fruit like soft elder scents and somewhere in the back, even a hint of cassis showed up –
